A critical component for students becoming successful readers is understanding how the letters work together to make words. Phonics and Phonemic Awareness are the scientific approach to reading. Each class will begin with a short phonemic awareness warm up together. These exercises can have a critical impact on reading success. An appropriate multi sensory phonics lesson based on the Barton Reading system will be shared focusing on an explicit skill or spelling rule.
