Garden Project: Certified Wildlife Garden
Hosted by Cola City Homeschoolers
Wednesday, Sept 23 @1 pm
At Harbison State Forest
All Ages: $3

This class/project is part of our Green Steps Environmental Education series. We have partnered with Harbison State Forest’s Certified Wildlife Habitat Garden as our “school” garden.

This project is an introduction/orientation to the garden and Green Steps plus a lesson on pollinators. We’ve got a grant that has provided pollinator-friendly plants that need to be planted now.

Garden Project from 1-3 pm on Sept 23 at Harbison State Forest
5600 Broad River Rd, Columbia, SC 29212.
Cost: $3/student or $5/family to help fund our Green Steps projects

We’ll meet behind the Education Center (Note: the building is closed, and we will not have access to restrooms). Parking fees are waived for this activity. We will still practice social distancing. But, masks are recommended whenever we’re closer than 6 feet apart.

Please bring sunscreen, bug repellant and comfortable clothing and footwear for working in the garden. Bring hand trowel/small shovel if you have one. Water bottles and hats are also advisable.
If it rains, we will postpone this event until the 30th.
