We’ll create our own imaginative stories using the book series as our guide. Will we be Polar Bears Past Bedtime\, Dingoes at Dinnertime or say Good Morning\, Gorillas? We can do it all and more! Join us for this fantastic creative camp where there are no limits! \nCamp Tap Tap Tap Away (add-on session)\nAll ages are welcome!\n12:00 PM/12:30 PM\nCost: $40; No shoes? No problem! We can help! \nLooking to add a 30-minute tap lesson to your camp experience? We’ve got you covered! For just $40\, you can be one of those dancin’ feet with a personalized tap lesson. Dancers are separated by age and experience. \nCampers also enrolled in Magic Tree House Adventures will stay another 30 minutes for this class. Campers enrolled in our Going Off Script – Improv Camp will arrive at 12:30 PM for their class. \nGoing Off-Script – Improv \nRising 5th to rising 8th grade\n1:00 PM – 4:00 PM\nCost: $165 \nOne of the best skills an actor can have is to think on your feet! When things go wrong on stage (and they will!) resolving the situation in character is the best way out! This workshop is designed to challenge students as they develop their improv skills\, an essential aspect of stagecraft. Students will be able to create characters\, challenge their imagination and focus on teamwork and communication in a low-pressure environment using improv. Students will be led in basic games and exercises that are meant to be fun for newcomers as well as allow more experienced performers to challenge themselves while still having fun. Just show up but there is a sign up form so we can send you a reminder about the location details each week. \nThis is not just another playground meet-up group. It’s a new kind of play program. Intentionally designed to foster independence\, social development\, problem solving–for all ages (especially 8+). Families with younger siblings are also welcome\, though. \nWe hope to see this grow and expand to more projects and activities thru the summer to develop interpersonal connections as well as personal agency. \nLet Grow Play Club Tuesdays from 10 am to noon–thru July\nThis Week’s Location:  Fenton C. DESCRIPTION:Paper Making\, Berry Ink\, Quill Writing & Wax Seals\nby SC Department of Natural Resources\nSaturday\, June 29th @10am\nAll Ages — FREE\nNote: This is NOT a Cola City event. \nThis program allows kids to learn how to make paper and a quill\, and then work in pairs or small groups to make their own ink using crushed berries\, vinegar\, and salt. Following these activities\, kids use the ink and quill they have made to write their own letters or draw their own sketches. After the letters and sketches have dried\, they will learn about various ways letters were folded during the Colonial Era. Kids will then select a seal stamp and learn how to seal their letters using melting wax to take home. \nThis program is for ages 6 – 18 years old\, however\, younger children can participate. All supplies for this hands-on program are provided. The program will take place under a tent in the garden of Parker Annex Archaeology Center. Over the last 120 centuries\, the area has had an array of inhabitants\, including mammoths\, Native American tribes and Civil War soldiers. It includes earthworks from an 1865 Civil War battle. The park is full of stories and offers something for explorers of all ages. \nGuided historical walking tours are offered on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year. Trained by the National Park Service\, our volunteer guides will take you on a walk along this beautiful trail filled with stories of the Battle of Congaree Creek\, Fort Congaree and Native American Lifeways. There are also special events including Nature Days and Civil War Encampments. \nCurrently\, the park is collecting donations to build a state of the art visitors center. Over the last 120 centuries\, the area has had an array of inhabitants\, including mammoths\, Native American tribes and Civil War soldiers. It includes earthworks from an 1865 Civil War battle. The park is full of stories and offers something for explorers of all ages. \nGuided historical walking tours are offered on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year. Trained by the National Park Service\, our volunteer guides will take you on a walk along this beautiful trail filled with stories of the Battle of Congaree Creek\, Fort Congaree and Native American Lifeways. There are also special events including Nature Days and Civil War Encampments. \nCurrently\, the park is collecting donations to build a state of the art visitors center. The park is full of stories and offers something for explorers of all ages. \nGuided historical walking tours are offered on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year. Trained by the National Park Service\, our volunteer guides will take you on a walk along this beautiful trail filled with stories of the Battle of Congaree Creek\, Fort Congaree and Native American Lifeways. There are also special events including Nature Days and Civil War Encampments. \nCurrently\, the park is collecting donations to build a state of the art visitors center. The building will orient visitors to the site and provide a space to host educational programs for children and adults. \nMore info found HERE
