(If you’re not a member\, click here to join Fall Session for $5)\nRules:\n\nWe will determine who is ‘it’ with a random number generator\nEvery player starts in Spawn city\, the player who is ‘it’ will count to 30\, then chase everyone and find as many players as they can in 5 minutes.\nNO TELEPORTING. We have set up boundary walls as well\, otherwise you can just run into infinity and never get caught 😉 We will be watching closely\, if you are caught teleporting or digging under or through the boundary walls\, you’ll be disqualified from the game (the account\, for those who share accounts\, so keep your siblings accountable!)\nPlay Fair! No cheating\, telling where you saw someone hiding\, ect. All of our regular server rules also apply here.\n\nThe goal is to have as many players playing as we can. They will learn how to spot fake news using their myth-busting toolkit they will be given during a one-hour class presentation. \nIn addition\,  students will have access to a google classroom and flipgrid for additional resources and continued discussions about fake news. The rest of the course is self paced to dig deeper into media literacy. This self-contained unit of instruction is fully online\, making it easy for teachers to access and use. Students focus on forests (one of the largest and most complex types of ecosystems) and come to understand some of the interactions\npresent in all ecosystems. In doing so\, they learn to appreciate the natural systems on which we depend and begin to widen their circle of compassion to include all of nature. \nParticipants will first partake in a 1.5 hour live video conference in which they will get acquainted with the South Carolina state program\, learn about helpful online resources\, and participate in two PLT activities. They will then get access to an electronic copy of the activity guide and the accompanying online professional development training\, which will be completed individually. That makes insects the dominant life-form on our planet. But not only do these creatures outnumber us\, they also have incredible super powers—from being able to jump the length of a football field to camouflaging their bodies to protect them from their enemies. As small as they are\, they can do some major damage to buildings\, and play a key role in helping our planet survive. (Insects…can’t live with ’em\, can’t live without ’em.) \nThis week\, you’ll be the entomologist. You’ll determine how these tiny creatures have survived for millions of years\, and learn about some of the craziest stuff they can do.
