Come to Town where you can create your own TV personality Commedia Del Arte – Netflix style. This one day comedy workshop will have you flexing those comedy muscles as you create a character\, storyline and mask based on the attributes of a sitcom character of your choice. (Want more laughing in your day? Bring lunch and come early for the Improv Pop Up workshop at 1:00 PM.) \nImprov (A One Day Pop Up Workshop)      \nRising 9th to rising 12th grade\n9:00 AM – 12:00 PM\nCost: $40  \nThis one day workshop is designed to introduce students to an essential aspect of stagecraft. Students will be able to create characters\, challenge their imagination and focus on teamwork and communication in a low-pressure environment using improv. Students will be led in basic games and exercises that are meant to be fun for newcomers as well as allow more experienced performers to challenge themselves while still having fun. This class is perfect for students who may have other activities that they are involved with this summer and don’t necessarily have the time to memorize lines outside of class or for those who become bored with repetition. Families with younger siblings are also welcome\, though. \nWe hope to see this grow and expand to more projects and activities thru the summer to develop interpersonal connections as well as personal agency. If you’re interested in STEM\, Environmental Science or Robotics\, let’s spark the possiblities! \nLocation: 431 Mission Court\, Irmo\, SC 29063\nParticipants: Ages 9-14+ (younger siblings with chaperone)\nCost: $10/participant\, all supplies and s’mores snack included. \n \nOur STEM Camp Stations include: \n\nMakey-Makey Joylabz Computer Games\nKapla Blocks Challenge\nChain Reaction Dominos\nSolar Car Kit \nDrawing Robots Electric Toothbrush\nPizza Box Solar Oven Cooking Activity\nMarble Drop Maze Challenge\n\nParticipants will have 3 hours to explore the various stations. Stations are geared for ages 9+ to work with peers\, with minimal instruction.
