Trained by the National Park Service\, our volunteer guides will take you on a walk along this beautiful trail filled with stories of the Battle of Congaree Creek\, Fort Congaree and Native American Lifeways. There are also special events including Nature Days and Civil War Encampments. \nCurrently\, the park is collecting donations to build a state of the art visitors center. DESCRIPTION:Homeschool Days: SC Native Animals\nby Revolutionary War Center\nWednesday\, Oct 2nd @10am\nGrades 3-12 — FREE\nNote: Not a Cola City event. \nOnce a month\, the Rev War Center offers a free homeschool day where small school groups can come together and experience one of the educational programs offered by the Center. A minimum of ten students will be needed to host these educational programs\, if the minimum is not met then parents will be notified a week prior that the program will be canceled. Programs are geared toward students in 3rd grade through high school. Younger students are welcome to attend and follow along\, but will need the assistance of their guardian throughout the program. \nAdults are welcome to sit in on the program\, just be aware that the focus will be on teaching the young students present. \nOctober Program: South Carolina’s Native Animals \nScholars will head outdoors to find twelve examples of diverse biosystems from South Carolina.
