With a very Mean stepmother\, a Vain stepsister and her equally as mischievous Forward stepsister\, Cinderella is treated very poorly indeed. In the true tradition of every fairy tale\, the Fairy Godmother comes to Cinderella’s rescue and together with all the fairies of the magical kingdom ensure a happy ending as Cinderella and her Prince Charming live happily ever after. \nThis production is more than a story about footwear – it is an allegory of good triumphing over mean-spiritedness. \nCombined with the lush music of Sergei Prokofiev\, and the brilliant choreography of founding director Ann Brodie\, the Carolina Ballet Artistic Director\, Mimi Worrell\, breathes magic into this well known and beloved fairy tale. Click HERE for more information \nCelebrate the rich variety of art\, culture\, food\, and families of Irmo at the International Festival on April 24\, 2022. From 10AM-5PM in Irmo Community Park. Enjoy family fun with International foods\, live musical entertainment\, International dancers\, vendors and booths\, art exhibits\, a Bounce house\, Henna painting\, a Story Tellers tent\, sidewalk chalk and more. \n\nHelp build the Rangoli\, a large Indian art form designed and built on the ground from colored pasta\, rice\, beans\, corn\, bark\, flowers\, leaves\, spices\, coffee grounds – beginning on April 18\, come each afternoon at 5pm to work on the Rangoli. \nFestival goers can help all day to finalize the project –bring your own kitchen and garden items to add or use what is provided. Welcome spring with this FREE family friendly event.
