We’ll play for a while at the park while we get organized with a few teen/adult volunteers who will hide along the trail with a stash of candy. \nWe’ll instruct the participants so they know where to safely look for candy keepers. The tour was presented by the Leadership Columbia class of 2009. We’ll meet-up at Columbia SC Visitors Center to get started! \nI’m Sally\, Columbia SC’s official amphibian ambassador! As you look for me around downtown\, be sure to notice the beautiful architecture and cultural icons of South Carolina’s capital city. DESCRIPTION:Springdale Park Splashpad\nby Cola City Homeschoolers\nTuesday\, June 25 at 10am\nFREE — All ages\nThis activity *IS* hosted by Cola City Homeschoolers\, but there is no sign up necessary. Just show up but there is a sign up form so we can send you a reminder about the location details each week. \nThis is not just another playground meet-up group. It’s a new kind of play program. Intentionally designed to foster independence\, social development\, problem solving–for all ages (especially 8+). Families with younger siblings are also welcome\, though. \nWe hope to see this grow and expand to more projects and activities thru the summer to develop interpersonal connections as well as personal agency. \nLet Grow Play Club Tuesdays from 10 am to noon–thru July\nThis Week’s Location:  Fenton C. Benton/Springdale Park at 2915 Platt Springs Rd\, West Columbia\, SC 29170\nThere’s a playground\, splash pad and a picnic shelters. Nice and shady–for the anticipated hotter days ahead! \nAlso bring Yard games\, balls/frisbies\, bubbles\, nerf blasters\, sidewalk chalk\, table games/activities. Try also Cayce Town Hall at 1800 12th Street\, Cayce). \nWe’ll be setting up 9-square in the air as a mixer/ice-breaker for adults and teens. Located at Firefly Toys & Games\, 736 Saint Andrews Rd Ste C\, Columbia\, SC \nFirefly staff will be highlighting and teaching educational board games which cover a range of subjects\, such as: Math\, Science\, Geography\, Chemistry and many more. \nUse games for education; come learn about it.\nAnd look for other Cola City Homeschoolers! We’re scheduling this as a meet-up time/location for our “Let Grow Club” initiative.
