DESCRIPTION:Sally Salamander Scavenger Hunt\nBy Cola City Homeschoolers\nFriday\, September 27\, 1-3 pm\nFREE — All Ages\nNote: This is a Cola City meet-up. It’s free\, but please scroll down to sign up so we know to keep an eye out for you and can notify you of any changes in case of inclement weather. This Field Trip is another “Let Grow” initative to foster agency and autonomy at age-appropriate levels. \nRAIN PLAN: We’ll move to an indoor meet-up location: Richland Library Downtown (Lower Level\, Children’s/Teens Room Areas). \nHURRICANE WINDS: If School Districts have e-learning day or cancelled\, then this meet-up is cancelled. Stay safe and dry! \nSally Salamander is a walking tour of downtown Columbia featuring numbered\, bronze statues of South Carolina’s state amphibian\, the spotted salamander. The tour was presented by the Leadership Columbia class of 2009. We’ll meet-up at Columbia SC Visitors Center to get started! \nI’m Sally\, Columbia SC’s official amphibian ambassador! As you look for me around downtown\, be sure to notice the beautiful architecture and cultural icons of South Carolina’s capital city. We pride ourselves on maintaining our rich history as we build for the future. When you spot me along your journey\, feel free to pet me. Like our locals\, I am friendly and full of Southern graciousness. \nStreet Parking available near Columbia Regional Visitors Center\, 1120 Lincoln Street Columbia\, SC 29201.
