Facilitated by Nature as Teacher guide\, Leoncia Cruz. 10 am or 1 pm lesson time–at Scott Park at 36 Ball Park Road (located on Battleship Road) Camden. Bring your own lunch and play at playground 11:15-12:45.\n\nLearn the art of observation\, practice inquiry\, investigate your surroundings\, and embrace creativity with fun activities like:\n\nObservation Hike\nSilly Face Senses Game\nI Notice\, I Wonder activity\nGuess what activity\nTree Hugger game\nSound Map activity\nTea Time activity\nCamouflage game\n\nLesson is geared toward 4th grade but adaptable for any ability level. These active games and sensory activities will invite students to connect with the fascinating natural world around them! Space is limited to 10 student/participants.\nNote: this is not a drop-off activity. Parents with preschoolers should step away with the non-participating children nearby in the park. DESCRIPTION:Escher Art Exhibit Tour\nby Cola City Homeschoolers\nFriday\, May 28 @10:30 am\n$5/students; $10/adults\nCome see this popular exhibit at Columbia Art Museum\, exploring the works of M.C. Escher. Space is limited! \nImages by artist Maurits C. Escher (1898–1972) fascinate audiences with their imaginative design\, consummate draftsmanship\, and dreamy visions. His mind-bending prints include subjects like infinite staircases\, tessellating birds changing into fish and back again\, and two hands drawing each other. \nThis is the largest private Escher collection on exhibition in the world\, including woodcuts\, lithographs\, drawings\, and mezzotints. You will see his best-known prints as well as lesser-known works\, spanning his entire career from his earliest print to his final masterpiece. You’ll also get a glimpse into the artist’s process with a woodblock study and lithographic stone.
